I can honestly from the bottom of my heart say that I LOVE HAIR and I LOVE WHAT I DO! I have been in the beauty industry for 8yrs. I love knowing that it will be a different day everyday. I enjoy meeting all types of people: stay at home moms, business professionals, (put men in there some how)???and of course all the cute college girls in town! I love doing color, corrective color,cutting and my absolute favorite is styling! In my opinion every color or cut should be complimented by a beautiful, long lasting blowout.
Color... I find that I do more of a natural color. My blondes always receive at least 2-3 different tones of blonde followed by a natural low-light for that sunkissed look. As for all my brunettes, I love adding two different tones of brown. It just gives great dimension. I love color that has plenty of DIMENSION!
Corrective color... Who has tried to go back dark and either ended up green or way too dark? I enjoy trying to get someone either back to their natural or even a blonde color. Just remember if you want healthy hair it will take steps.
Cutting... I enjoy doing all types of cuts from long layers, to a short cute bobs, to curly hair. I was blessed, after 2 kids, with curly hair. I find that I can understand curly hair more when I cut it because I have the same challenges that a curly client may struggle with. I love to do a little texture to help the hair fall in certain places. I also have a pretty strong mens clientel. I have to admit mens cuts are a little bit of a challenge. So many men want to change what they already have but they don't have many choices. I try to help my men try new styles and new products to give a different look.
Product... I LOVE bumble and bumble!! Last year I was given the opportunity to attend the B&B University in NY. (a special thanks to all my clients who helped fund my education by purchasing B&B product from me!!) It was a life changing experience. I was taught so many great styling techniques and great product knowledge. My favorites for a great blowout are grooming creme, thickening spray and some spray de mode hairspray for a beautiful blowout. And I don't know one man that doesn't need to own some sumotech.
Fashion... I love all types of fashion. In my opinion fashion is in the eye of the beholder; if you like it and it looks HOTT wear it! Confidence is the key!
